Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American actor and musician who began her career with clever raps that tackled the issues of sexuality and race with a the most comical of perspectives. She then expanded to Hollywood. The actress was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrant parents within Forest Hills Queens her first taste of musician life came via the trumpet. Also, she received Jazz and classical training before becoming a hip-hop teenager. Concentrating on school she studied journalism as well as women's studies, and was studying Mandarin in Beijing during a brief time. Following graduation, she decided to concentrate on music. The My Vag song, My Vag which was her response to Mickey Avalons My Dick, became a viral hit via the Internet and later appeared on her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also contained viral hits including body-positive Queef & winking home tour NYC BitcheUSD. This latter song was directly linked to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide for 2015, which was a travel guide. She decided to pursue acting as a profession after completing her first two projects, as an author and musician. Alongside early shows such as Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in movies such as Neighbors and Storks. In 2018, she scored breakthrough roles in a handful of high-profile films such as Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. This June, she released her EP "In Fina We Trust".
